Your Netgear WiFi Extender must be placed within range of your router.
Do not use an Internet browser that is loaded with junk files, cache, cookies, and browsing history.
Reboot the device you are using to access the Netgear extender's IP address.
As soon as your device restarts, use a different web browser to log in.
Also close all unwanted tabs.
Make sure you have assigned your PC a static IP address.
Power cycle your connected devices along with your Netgear extender and your existing WiFi router.

1. Connect your Netgear WiFi Range Extender. Place it near your existing router.
2. Take a known good Ethernet cable. Connect your WiFi router to the Netgear extender.
3. Open a web browser.
4. Enter mywifiext or Netgear extend IP address.
5. Press the Enter key.
6. You may see the NEW EXTENDER SETUP page. If yes, click the button and continue.
7. Complete the fields on the Netgear Genie page. Click Next once you are done.
8. Enter your existing WiFi router password in the network key field. Once done, click Next.
9. Also, configure a unique SSID and strong passphrase for your Netgear extender. Press the Next button once you are done.
10. Connect your devices to the extender's SSID and enjoy uninterrupted Internet reach throughout your home. Click Continue once you have successfully connected your devices to the network name of your wireless extender.
