FIFA 22: Release Date, Cover Stars, Prices and Features

FIFA 22 will be released later this year

EA has confirmed that FIFA 22 will be playable on many different platforms, including PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Stadia and PC. However, depending on the FIFA 22 version you purchase on each platform, features, bonuses, and prices will change.

FIFA 22 will be released later this year. Before that, we need to know the release date of FIFA 22 in the UK, the cover stars of all versions, prices and features.

FIFA 22 will be the first "true" next-generation FIFA game ever. The game will use next-generation HyperMotion technology. EA’s chief game producer Sam Rivera told Mirror Football that this new feature will bring FIFA 22’s gaming experience Take it to the next level.

EA said that this technology, in addition to machine learning and motion capture from 22 high-intensity professional football players, will also generate real human sports data to provide support for the sports methods of individuals and teams in FIFA 22.

But HyperMotion technology will not be used on PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One or PC version of FIFA 22.

On Friday, July 9, 2021, EA announced that the cover star of FIFA 22 is Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain, who will appear in every version of the game on all platforms.

EA also confirmed that FIFA 22 will be released in the UK and globally on Friday, October 1, 2021. But now it is possible to pre-order various versions of FIFA 22 and have FIFA 22 Coins.

PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One players have two FIFA 22 pre-order options; FIFA 22 Standard Edition (PS4/Xbox One) and FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition.

FIFA 22 Standard Edition (PS4/Xbox One) is priced at approximately £59.99 and will provide pre-order bonuses, including this week's best team 1 player project, Kylian Mbappé loan project, FUT ambassador loan player selection and professional model local talent.

However, the FIFA 22 Standard Edition (PS4/Xbox One) does not include dual authorization, so if you plan to purchase the next game, you will not be able to upgrade to the next-generation version of the game for free in the future-gen, the console after purchasing the game.

PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X players can purchase the next-generation FIFA 22 Standard Edition for £69.99.

FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition is priced at approximately (£89.99) and can be pre-ordered on PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One, PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.

This version offers pre-order rewards, including FUT Heroes Player project (limited time offer), Ones to Watch Player project, Dual Entitlement (free PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X upgrade), 4600 FIFA points, 1 player of the Weekly Team Project, Kylian Mbappé loan project, FUT ambassador loan player selection and local talents in career model.

FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition also provides you with four days of early game play, so you can start playing the game from Monday, September 27, 2021.

PC players can pre-order FIFA 22 Standard Edition (£49.99) and FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition (£69.99), but neither of these two versions are next-generation. These versions are basically the same as the versions on PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One.
