For full fill cavity wall applications, insulation boards made of polyisocyanurate, also known as PIR, are employed. The boards' specialized tongue and groove joint shape provides optimal thermal performance (0.021 W/m.K), as well as protection from wind-driven rain. PIR boards can be fitted as a full fill solution with little to no residual cavity or with up to a 10mm residual cavity.
